COVID-19

ARAVE TAX PREPARATION AND CONSULTING

Statement on COVID-19

In March of 2020 when the Covid 19 pandemic was getting a good start, Arave Tax began an intensive program to minimize the potential exposure of Covid to both our clients and ourselves.

This program involved closing our office to all face to face meetings. We accelerated the use of technology to allow us to continue to serve our clients and keep us all safe.

We set up a process whereby our clients could drop off their valuable records and forms in a secure manner at our office. We then carefully quarantined those documents for four days as suggested by the Center for Disease Control.

Once the quarantine period was over, we prepared the tax returns, sometimes utilizing the telephone to clarify any questions. When the return was completed, we set up a time for a virtual meeting to go over the return with our clients. To complete the returns and get the necessary signatures we arranged appointment times utilizing a “clean room”.  The “clean room” was set up in a separate office with a monitor, gloves for the clients, new pens for signing and hand sanitizer. The room was sanitized with a Lysol type product between each appointment. Signatures were completed and we e-filed right away as usual.

As you can see, we took the pandemic very seriously right from the beginning and did everything possible to protect all involved.

Tax Year 2021

Clearly tax year 2021 isn’t going to be much better, sorry! Once again, we will rise to the task at hand and be as pro-active as possible. Here are the things we will do:

  • As far as possible we will have face to face meetings with clients. We will utilize all CDC guidelines including the plexiglass sneeze guard in the office.
  • Provide hand sanitizer.
  • Require masking wherever possible, understanding that some folks have problems with masking.
  • Sanitize the room between each and every client.
  • IF meeting face to face is not possible or desirable, we will continue to accept drop off taxes and distance taxes using virtual meetings and some form of remote online signature acquisition.

As always, we will continue to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers. We will adhere to all guidelines from our local and CDC health advisories. AND we will try to do it with a smile!!

If you are looking for a tax preparer who really cares about you and your health safety, look no further, call us for an appointment as soon as possible. Our appointments fill up fast!
