When Stephen and Teresia Arave retired after a forty-year career in the Portland Oregon area we knew it was time to go home! We are both native to the Idaho Falls area, and both are Bonneville alumni from 1965. We settled in the Tayler-Jameston area and love our little community!
Stephen’s pre-retirement career was in business management. He was responsible for record keeping, book-keeping, budget and tax record preparation as well as day to day operations. Thus, when Teresia’s aunt, Dixie Hunting decided to retire and sell her tax preparation business, we jumped at the opportunity! Both Stephen and Teresia are professional tax preparers, having acquired all the education and certifications necessary to electronically prepare and file your returns. After owning Dixies Tax Service for five years, we decided it was time to change the name to reflect our ownership, so we changed the name to Arave Tax Preparation and Consulting. The consulting aspect of our name change has contributed greatly to the growth we have enjoyed. Helping people develop and enhance their tax strategy has been a real pleasure.
